Is It Time For A Visit?

When Should You Schedule Your Next Appointment?

The timing for your next dental visit depends on your oral health. Here’s a simple guide to help you understand when you might need your next appointment:

6 Months

Most patients need a cleaning every 6 months. Regular cleanings remove plaque, tartar, and bacteria, helping to maintain good oral health. Adults also get x-rays once a year, and children have x-rays every 2 years to check for decay between teeth. Adults also receive a yearly periodontal chart to track the health of their gums.

4 Months

If you tend to build up tartar more quickly, you may need a cleaning every 4 months. More frequent cleanings can help reduce the risk of decay and prevent changes in your gum and bone health.

3 Months

If you’ve had periodontal (gum) disease and completed a deep cleaning, we recommend coming in every 3 months for ongoing treatment. These visits help remove bacteria that contribute to gum disease and allow us to monitor your oral health closely. Regular care is important to stop the disease from getting worse.

Pediatric Care

At our office, we’re dedicated to promoting oral health from an early age. We recommend regular dental visits for kids to ensure healthy tooth development, encourage good brushing and flossing habits, and catch any potential issues before they become problems. Six-month checkups are key to maintaining a healthy smile throughout childhood.
